Congratulations! We are so excited that you have been selected to go abroad. Between now and when you depart we will work together to ensure that you are prepared for this experience. Preparation includes attending meetings, completing required forms online and participating in optional activities.

Pre-Departure Components

  1. Pre-Departure Sessions

    Pre-departure Orientation Sessions are conducted by Education Abroad every semester.

  2. Health & Safety Workshop

    All students will attend either an in person or virtual health and safety pre-departure orientation. Students will be informed by their program coordinator which session they should attend.

  4. Submit Remaining Course Evaluation Requests

    After reviewing the Study Abroad Credit page and meeting with your academic advisor, use the Course Evaluation Requests Survey to submit foreign course syllabi to be evaluated for UT credit for courses not listed in the My Credit Abroad database. Requests can be submitted at any time.

  5. Research and Apply for VISAs

    Some countries may require students to hold student visas to study abroad.  Students research countries’ visa issuance requirements, apply for, and secure visas independently to ensure their stay abroad is legal. Read further guidelines.
