International Education Week
International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education to promote and celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The University of Texas at Austin participates annually in this important initiative by showcasing globally-focused events held across campus throughout the week.
Calling all colleges, departments, and student organizations to get involved and share with the UT community how you exemplify our motto, What Starts Here, Changes the World.
Whether it is a uniquely-designed activity specifically for International Education Week (IEW) or an event that reflects the themes of IEW, we look forward to celebrate and deepen the global impact of our institution.
The shift to virtual programming has opened up a number of opportunities on how we can engage—we encourage you to think outside of the box in your planning. Suggested activities range from cultural demonstrations to panel discussion to professional development trainings. We also encourage you to spotlight your international students and faculty, returned education abroad students, and international research.
