Assistant Director for Intercultural Programs and Initiatives
Reporting to the director of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), the assistant director for intercultural programs and initiatives oversees a team responsible for programming and services that support international students and scholars in achieving their social, academic, and professional goals throughout their university careers.
Assistant International Faculty and Scholar Advisor
Assist in the processing and preparation of immigration documents for J-1 Exchange Visitors and employment-based visas. Issue documents for J-1 Exchange Visitors. Support regulatory requirements of the U.S. Department of State J-1 Exchange Visitor Program for faculty, scholars, and customized program participants. Ensure university compliance with federal regulations keeping detailed records. Provide excellent communication to international faculty and researchers and campus community.
Assistant Vice Provost for Programs
The Assistant Vice Provost for Programs (AVPP) is a key member of Texas Global's core senior leadership team. Under the direction of the Senior Vice Provost for Global Engagement (SVPGE), the role identifies new funding opportunities for UT Austin to expand the institution’s global engagement portfolio both on campus and abroad. The Assistant Vice Provost for Programs collaborates with university leadership, colleges, schools, units, and external stakeholders to advance campus internationalization. Responsibilities include overseeing strategic initiatives and high-profile global engagement programs, expanding academic and research partnerships, managing project flow, and ensuring a continued expansion of contracts/grants awarded to Texas Global.
Global Strategies Officer
The Global Strategies Officer (GSO) supports the Office of Global Engagement and Strategy (OGES) and collaborates with all Texas Global units, 19 UT Schools/Colleges, faculty/staff, and international partners to advance the university’s global strategic efforts. The incumbent plays a key role in mapping UT internationalization activities on campus and abroad, collecting data that will inform and support decision-making pertinent to the development and implementation of institutional global strategies, and coordinating inbound and outbound intra-institutional delegations. The GSO also provides day-to-day programmatic support and assists in the administration of policies and procedures that are to be implemented within the OGES and/or across the institution. Areas of geographic responsibilities include but are not limited to Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa; occasional travel is expected. The position reports to the Director of Global Initiatives and Alumni Relations.
Program Coordinator, Education Abroad
Responsible for advising students and managing a portfolio of education abroad programs. Duties include designing programs, promotion, participant recruitment and selection, and pre-departure preparation; coordination with domestic and international partners; and associated administrative tasks.
Senior Intercultural Programs Coordinator
Reporting to the assistant director for intercultural programs and initiatives, the senior coordinator manages the International Student and Scholars Services (ISSS) activities that support and enrich the on-campus experiences for the international student and scholar community. Additionally, the senior program coordinator is responsible for monitoring the ISSS communication plan including emails, social media, and program marketing.
Senior Software Developer/Analyst
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Information Systems, serve as the Senior Software Developer/Analyst for Texas Global. Duties include resolving technical challenges within complex systems and business processes and designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing computer-based information systems that ensure efficiency and accuracy that meet the business needs for Texas Global. This position is open to current UT employees only.
