Internship Credit
UT Austin does not award internship credit for completing a non-academic internship. You earn credit for a course which complements your internship experience. Because these programs do not include coursework which complements the internship (complementary courses), no credit is automatically attached. However, all programs are “credit-eligible,” meaning you can enroll in the UT internship course of your choice to earn credit for the experience of your international internship.
Make sure you talk to your Academic Advisor if you need an internship for your degree. They will guide you on any departmental policies. Consult your College’s website for specific criteria and requirements for an internship. Some colleges may also require a student to request pre-approval for your internship placement in order to count it toward a degree requirement.
