Global Career Launch: Alumni and Corporate Internships

Building upon the University’s existing corporate partners, non-governmental organizations and alumni, students can source internships with international sponsors in collaboration with Texas Global and Texas Career Engagement.

There are over 500,000 Longhorn alumni living across the globe. Texas Global works to connect students with internships opportunities hosted by alumni and corporate partners abroad. Interested students should contact international.internships@austin.utexas.edu.

UT Austin Global Career Accelerator

The UT Austin Global Career Accelerator is a for-credit virtual internship program that gives students the opportunity to work with diverse collaborative teams across four innovative track offerings. Participants will learn in-demand skills and gain real-world experience from tailored projects developed by international corporations such as Uber, Spotify, Google, Netflix, and Shopify. No prerequisites are required.

Students who participate in Global Career Accelerator will also have access to Global Career Base, a dedicated career networking platform with curated job opportunities, and UpWork, which connects students with paid freelancing projects to build their portfolio.

Self-Sourced Internships Abroad: Register Your Travel

Students can search for internships abroad with UT Austin corporate partners through Handshake.

If you arrange your own internship abroad to meet UT degree requirements or receive a scholarship from UT to fund your internship abroad, you must register your travel with Texas Global.
