International Orientation Volunteers
Each year, The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Global welcome over a thousand international students to the Longhorn community. The International Orientation Volunteer (IOV) Program provides UT students the opportunity to get involved in international orientation activities and provide a welcoming environment for new Longhorns. Both international and domestic students are invited to apply.

Eligibility
- Must have been a UT student for at least one semester prior to Spring 2025
- Must be enrolled/plan to enroll in Spring 2025
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of two orientation activities that will take place Jan. 6-12
Compensation
This is an unpaid, volunteer position. Volunteers who fulfill their commitments will receive a signed Certificate of Completion from Texas Global that certifies your participation in the program. Additionally, a signed letter of appreciation from Texas Global will be provided and may be used for future volunteer and internship applications.
How to Apply
Applications for Spring 2025 International Orientation Volunteers are now closed. Applications for Fall 2025 volunteers will open in June 2025.
