International Orientation Volunteers

Each year, The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Global welcome over a thousand international students to the Longhorn community. The International Orientation Volunteer (IOV) Program provides UT students the opportunity to get involved in international orientation activities and provide a welcoming environment for new Longhorns. Both international and domestic students are invited to apply.

Eligibility

  • Must have been a UT student for at least one semester prior to Spring 2025
  • Must be enrolled/plan to enroll in Spring 2025
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of two orientation activities that will take place Jan. 6-12

Compensation

This is an unpaid, volunteer position. Volunteers who fulfill their commitments will receive a signed Certificate of Completion from Texas Global that certifies your participation in the program. Additionally, a signed letter of appreciation from Texas Global will be provided and may be used for future volunteer and internship applications.
