On-Campus Support Services for our Global Longhorns

Whether you're facing personal challenges, navigating academic stress, or feeling the impact of crises at home or abroad, UT offers a range of on-campus support services to help you thrive. From counseling and crisis support to one-on-one advising, these resources are here to offer support both personally and academically.

  • Advisors are available in International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and the English Language Center (ELC) to assist you, whether you have personal concerns, questions about your immigration status, or need to know what other campus resources are available to help with your specific needs. We continuously work to stay informed on the latest immigration updates, including communicating with state and national partners.
  • Student Outreach and Support (SOS) in the Office of the Dean of Students provides assistance to students navigating challenging or unexpected issues that impact their well-being and academic success. You can reach SES at 512-471-5017 or by email at dosstudentsupport@austin.utexas.edu.
  • Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) has a confidential crisis line with professional counselors who will spend time addressing your immediate concerns. The crisis line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, at 512-471-2255. To schedule a regular appointment, call 512-471-3515.
  • CMHC offers drop-in support groups on a variety of topics. Groups offer a community of peers to address shared challenges and interests. New groups are started each semester. Find a list of sessions and meeting times on the CMHC website.
  • The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential counseling services for UT Select benefits-eligible employees. You can schedule an appointment by email at eap@austin.utexas.edu or call 512-471-3366. A crisis line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at 512-471-3399.
