International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) organizes orientation and welcome events for incoming international students every Spring and Fall semester. A Social Security Number (SSN) is needed to facilitate payment for scholarships, employment in the U.S., and to file a U.S. tax return. Read through the information provided to determine if you are eligible for a SSN and for instructions on how to obtain one.
Austin offers diverse housing opportunities. Whether you prefer dorm-style living, a co-op, or an apartment, we’re confident you will find an accommodation that fits your needs.
