- May I waive the Student Health Insurance Plan?
International Students in F-1 and J-1 visa status are automatically enrolled in the UT Student Health Insurance (UTSHIP). The cost of UTSHIP is reflected in the tuition and fee bill. If your sponsor provides compliant health insurance, you may be able to request a waiver of UTSHIP.
It is your responsibility to request a waiver each semester by the posted waiver deadline. If you do not request a waiver by the deadline, you will be enrolled in and billed for UTSHIP.

- How may I request an enrollment verification letter?
Some sponsors will require students to provide proof of enrollment at UT Austin. To request a verification letter email sponsoredstudent@austin.utexas.edu to request the necessary letter. Be sure to include your name and UTEID in your email.
- How may I request a grade report or transcript?
To request an unofficial grade report or transcript, email sponsoredstudent@austin.utexas.edu. Be sure to include your name and UTEID in your email.
Note: ISSS cannot issue official grade reports/transcripts. If you need an official document, you must request one through Texas One Stop.
