Services for Newly Admitted Students
As an international student at The University of Texas at Austin, there are steps you will need to follow prior to your enrollment at the university.
To complete these steps you will need to log into myIO.
- If you are admitted for summer (May-July), your access to myIO will become available in January.
- If you are admitted for fall (August-December), your access to myIO will become available in February.
- If you are admitted for spring (January-May) your access to myIO will become available in October.
All students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents are considered international students, even if they are a Texas Resident for tuition purposes. If you are considered an International Student at UT Austin, you will need to log into myIO and complete all requirements. Students planning to attend UT in F-1 or J-1 status must request a Form I-20/DS-2019. Use the myIO online system to submit financial documentation and other information required to issue the Form I-20/DS-2019. For more information on acceptable financial documents, please visit our Financial Information page.
