Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM)

We host undergraduate students and their professor from the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico for a weeklong seminar focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, partnering with UT’s Austin Technology Incubator. Participants engage in academic coursework, site visits to campus entrepreneurial centers, and cultural activities.

Instructors and hosts provide tangible examples of successful initiatives at UT Austin and throughout the community that deepen participants’ insights into innovation within the local ecosystem. The week culminates with participants presenting three-minute pitches on businesses they had already created or hope to start in the future.

This program has meant so much to me. I’m leaving a different person than the one who entered. I feel so much more confident because I was prepared by the best teachers. It’s true what they say: What starts here changes the world.” Camila Magaña Zamora, 2025 UDEM Entrepreneurship and Innovation Seminar participant
