COMEXUS - Comisión México Estados Unidos para el Intercambio Educativo y Cultural

Texas Global partnered with the Comisión México Estados Unidos para el Intercambio Educativo y Cultural (COMEXUS) for the Bicentennial Ambassador’s Mexican Teaching Students Grant Program in the summer of 2024. This program equipped pre-service teachers from Mexico with essential skills and knowledge to teach STEM at K-12 levels in their home country. Faculty from UT Austin’s renowned UTeach Institute provided instruction, emphasizing digital integration, active learning strategies and classroom management, differentiation and individualized instruction in STEM teaching, and curriculum development and professional growth in STEM education.

In the summer of 2025, Texas Global hosted the “+Talento Chihuahua” Grant Program. This cohort of STEM university students from Mexico participated in a four-week program that offered comprehensive academic coursework and cultural enrichment. Classes were led by faculty from UT Austin’s Department of Computer Science and UT Austin’s School of Architecture and focused on computer science, machine learning, ethics, and research in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
