Bookings can be made up to five days in advance. Through December 20, Passport Services will be offering additional appointments outside our normal business hours, including the first two Sundays of each month. Check the online booking system for availability.

I do not see any appointments. How do I get one?
Appointments are available Monday through Friday through the online scheduling system. If no times are available, then all appointments are full. If someone cancels an appointment, that time slot will open.

When will I receive my passport?
You can find processing times on the U.S. Department of State website.

I still haven’t received my passport after applying for one. Where is it?
To check on the status of your passport, please call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778.

Can I pay with a credit card?
Only photo and processing fee can be paid with Visa, MasterCard, or money order. Passport fees must be paid by check or money order.

Does every applicant have to be present?
Yes, everyone has to be present for the entire process.

Do I have to submit my original birth certificate, passport, or certification of naturalization?
Yes, you must submit the originals, but they will be mailed back to you after you receive your new passport.

What if my Texas short form birth certificate does not have an "i" after "date filed?"
To get a proper certificate, order one from the Office of Vital Records.

Can I use an out of state ID?
Yes, but we will need a secondary form of ID (g.e. Social Security number card, student ID, valid foreign ID, voting card, insurance card, utility bill with name and address, etc.)

I'm going on a cruise and will be traveling in the Gulf of Mexico, do I need a passport book/card? If so, which one?
We do not know. You should contact your travel provider and ask them.

The U.S. Department of State website asks for photocopies of proof of citizenship and proof of identity. Do I need to bring my own copies to the appointment?
No, you do not need to bring your own photocopies. We can make photocopies here in our office during your appointment.
