Global Virtual Exchange Professor Named Texas Ten Faculty Member in Alcalde

UT English professor John Rumrich, one of the first faculty at UT to teach a Global Virtual Exchange course, has been named among The Alcalde’s 2020 Texas Ten professors.

The annual distinction recognizes UT faculty that have made a significant difference in their students’ lives. The professors are nominated by Longhorn alumni and announced in The Alcalde, UT’s official alumni magazine.

In his interview with The Alcalde, Rumrich cites a strong affinity for Shakespeare, the focus of the Global Virtual Exchange course he taught in 2018 with his colleague Hong Shen at Zhejiang University in China.
