University of Texas Tops the List of Best Global Universities

Out of the top 1,500 institutions in 81 countries, UT Austin ranked No. 34 in the U.S. News & World Report's ranking of the best global universities. UT is the only university in Texas that has the distinction of being in the top 100 global universities. 

The ranking is based on 13 criteria, identifying the university’s contributions to international research and its global reputation, among other factors. Some of the top-ranked subjects at UT include computer science, ranked fifth globally, and arts and humanities, ranked No. 20. UT’s research reputation ranks No. 24 on the list.
