Advancing Women and Youth Entrepreneurship

Advancing Women and Youth Entrepreneurship, Global Innovation Lab’s newest program, is designed to help women and youth entrepreneurs gain the skills, knowledge and network to scale their businesses. In partnership with the U.S. Embassy, Tokyo, the initiative provides the essential building blocks of creating a successful business venture. Applications for the program, which runs from January to September 2021, are now open.

Nexus Incubator, India

Nexus is an innovation hub and startup incubator created in partnership with the U.S. Embassy and Global Innovation Lab. Located at the American Center in New Delhi, Nexus serves as a central hub for entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, government agencies, industry and funding organizations to promote Indian startups, to showcase best practices of American and Indian entrepreneurship, and to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

XLr8 Andhra Pradesh, India

In collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Global Innovation Lab launched XLr8 Andhra Pradesh, a world-class global technology accelerator. The accelerator fosters a culture of innovation in the Sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh to increase knowledge, wealth and employment, in the State and beyond.

DHI Business Acceleration Program, Bhutan

Launched in partnership with Druk Holding and Investments, the commercial arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan, the DHI Business Acceleration Program (DHI BizAP) provides a holistic approach to entrepreneurship development in the Cottage and Small Industries (CSI) sector.

Partnering with Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and the KAIST Center for Innovation Initiatives (KCI), Global Innovation Lab has worked with local companies to perform market research and international business development resulting in over $3.5M in business deals for Korean innovators.

Yangjae Innovation Hub, Seoul, South Korea

Yangjae Innovation Hub is a startup incubator located in Seoul, South Korea. The program is a partnership with KAIST University focused on acceleration of Artificial Intelligence startups.

Jeollabuk Province and City of Jeonju, Korea

Global Innovation Lab works strategically with Jeollabuk Province to build its capacity by identifying and mentoring promising technology companies and innovators. This program extended into the Capitol City of Jeonju and focuses on developing and expanding traditional businesses across the city.

Aichi Prefecture, Japan

UT’s Global Innovation Lab works with Aichi Prefecture in Japan to assess their startup ecosystem and recommend strategies for building a more robust startup ecosystem. Elements of the program include incubator development, startup business development, and entrepreneurship training.
