F-1 and J-1 students employed on campus must obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) to facilitate payment.

During this event, you may receive an endorsement (signature) from an International Student Advisor on your Social Security Number Employment Verification Letter, which is necessary to apply for an SSN.

An appointment is required to attend this event.

You may Schedule an Appointment, beginning August 11.

 

To prepare for your appointment, you must complete the following mandatory tasks:

  1. Complete all sections of the International Student Online Check-in in myIO.
  2. Get your Social Security Number Employment Verification Letter completed and signed by your hiring department. Bring the print-out of this letter to the SSN Letter Signing event.
  3. J-1 students only: Submit a J-1 On-Campus Employment Report via myIO.
