Visiting Delegations
The University of Texas at Austin welcomes visitors and delegations from universities, government and sponsoring agencies, research institutions, industry and other groups wishing to meet with University leadership, faculty, administrators and staff to establish new or expand on current, strategic international partnerships. A delegation can be an individual or a group of representatives from the visiting organization and can range from a few hours to multiple days. Depending on the nature of the visit, different considerations will be made.
Texas Global encourages faculty, departments, Colleges and Schools (CSUs) to host international visitors to foster and support the strategic relationships and collaborations that expand UT Austin’s global engagement. Please contact the Global Strategy Officers if you are planning to host visitors; we are happy to offer guidance and resources to support the visit.
International Visitors
If you are a representative from an international organization desiring to visit UT Austin, please provide as many details as you can through the Request a Delegation Visit form linked below.
Due to the high volume of demand, we may not be able to accommodate all requests. We appreciate your interest and understanding.
Please note:
- Submit your request at least 30 days in advance of the proposed date for the visit. If submitted less than 30 days prior, we may not be able to accommodate your visit or address all your objectives.
- Visits cannot be scheduled during university holidays or campus closures. Campus events, such as final exams and graduation, should also be considered.
- Visits requested during the summer session, typically between May and August, may not be feasible or as comprehensive due to the availability of faculty, staff, and University leadership.
- We recommend that at least one member of the visiting party be fluent in English to ensure productive meetings, as we are unable to provide translation services. If a professional interpreter will accompany the delegation, please include them in the list of delegation members.
- International visitors are responsible for their own travel arrangements, accommodations, and transportation. Please refer to UT Austin’s visitor resources page for further information on getting to and around campus.
For additional questions or concerns, please contact the Global Strategies Officers at inbound_delegations@austin.utexas.edu.
