Volunteer as an alumni speaker at university events and symposiums such as Global Professional Training or career resource workshops and offer your wisdom and advice to recent graduates entering the workforce and exploring international careers.

Organize an Event

The Texas Global team travels all over the world to meet with alumni and hear their ideas. Students on education abroad programs are always looking to network and connect with alumni. New students appreciate send offs organized by alumni in their home countries, and prospective students and parents are always seeking information about the UT Austin experience from their peers. If you can host a group or help organize an event, get in touch.

Congratulate Future Classes of International Students

Be a part of the celebration for graduating international students by sending a special video tribute. Take a quick video or send in photos and remarks to congratulate the international graduates.

For optimal recording, make sure your environment is quiet and well-lit. Hold your phone steady and horizontally. Have fun and don’t forget to throw up those Hook `Em horns! Example greetings:

• “Congratulations from all the Texas Exes in Mexico City”
• “This is Andrew from Singapore, class of 2004, and I want to congratulate all the international Longhorns graduating this year"
