Texas Global supports a community of 8,300+ students and researchers from 135 countries on campus. International student scholarships help draw the world’s most brilliant students and scholars to campus which gives all Longhorns the opportunity to learn in an intercultural academic environment.
Each year, more than 4,200 students learn and intern abroad. With your contributions, we hope to double that number. Scholarships for international research, academic programs and internships make transformative professional experiences possible for UT students eager to learn in a country and academic field that align with their passions.
The University of Texas at Austin and the Embassy of France in the United States have established an enduring partnership —helping to point our sharpest minds at the world’s most urgent challenges. To encourage strategic collaboration, we proudly offer annual awards for bi-national research between UT Austin faculty and institutions of higher education in France. Our annual award is inspired by and in honor of Dr. Cécile DeWitt-Morette, one of France’s most notable scientists and a UT professor of five decades. Your support will lead to generations of joint discoveries and deeper ties between the people of France and Texas.

Planned gifts can be made now or deferred to a later time. Some enable you to support UT Austin, receive tax benefits, and sustain your current lifestyle. Such gifts include bequests through a will, retirement plan assets, and charitable trusts. Learn more about planned and estate gifts.
Gifts of appreciated securities and closely held stock can be extremely beneficial —both to you and to UT Austin. You may receive an income-tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, as well as reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Gifts of stock and mutual funds are coordinated by the UT System Office of Development and Gift Planning Services. Proceeds from the sale of these assets are directed to any program you wish.
