In May 2018, Amy Wong joined Texas Global as an accountant. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in finance and mathematics. After college she worked for Ernst & Young in the actuarial consulting industry with a focus in defined benefit retirement plans for funding and accounting purposes.
After four years with E&Y, she was promoted to senior manager and worked as a global mobility consultant in Hong Kong where she managed all aspects of global mobility services for a wide range of clients including financial institutions, insurance companies, multinational companies, consulting firms, newly set up entities, and high-net-worth individuals. She set up revenue budgets and monitored billable hours of team members to attain profitable growth for the team and provided support for strategic pricing structure for global and local engagements. She also provided assistance to international employees and their families on immigration and individual tax matters.
On a personal note, Amy is originally from Hong Kong and her native language is Cantonese. Her hobbies include Mahjong, playing the piano, hiking and biking in chilly weather, spending quality time with family, and napping.
