Veronica joined the Education Abroad team at Texas Global in August 2025 as a Program Coordinator. As a proud UT Alum, she’s excited to be back on the 40 Acres to help students pursue global education opportunities.
Veronica is originally from Bogotá, Colombia and she credits her passion for international education to her global upbringing. Her family lived in Angola for nearly four years when she was in elementary school before moving to Katy, Texas when she was in middle school. A few years later, her family moved to Baku, Azerbaijan, where Veronica graduated from high school before moving back to the U.S. for college. She attended Hofstra University in New York before transferring to UT Austin and majoring in International Relations and Global studies. She studied abroad for a semester in Morocco during her junior year and had a wonderful experience.
After graduation, she joined AmeriCorps as a Bilingual Early Literacy Tutor at Literacy First, a program administered through the UT Charles A. Dana Center. After two years of service with AmeriCorps, Veronica worked in enrollment at Academic Programs International for two years before moving to Washington D.C. for graduate school. During her master's program, she worked at the Global and Experiential Education office at The George Washington University School of Business as a Program Assistant, where she worked on faculty-led programs for graduate business students. She graduated from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development with an MA in International Education in May 2025. She’s excited to be back in her “home state” of Texas and grateful for the opportunity to work with UT students, faculty, and staff.
Veronica enjoys attending live music concerts, baking, reading, film, and travelling.
