Sandra Hancock

Before working with the Global Customized Programs team, Sandra was a part of McComb's B.B.A. International Programs team, where she specialized in the semester exchange study abroad programs. Prior to joining U.T., Sandra was the Assistant Director of the Office of Study Abroad & International Student Services at Southwestern University. Before relocating to Texas in 2022, Sandra and her family lived in Seattle, Washington, for three years. She worked for the University of Washington as a department communications manager during that time. Before Seattle, they resided abroad for a decade at the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. Sandra held several Marketing and Communication roles at the new and highly diverse institution. While overseas, she earned an M.Sc. in Marketing from the University of Leicester in the U.K.

Before moving abroad, she had worked for several years in the product design industry at companies like Gap, Inc., at their global headquarters in San Francisco. Sandra earned double bachelor's degrees, a B.A. in International Studies, and a B.S. in Product Design from Oregon State University (O.S.U.). She went abroad twice as an undergrad student to conduct research and complete international internships in India and Bolivia. While a student, Sandra was employed part-time at the university's International Office. Before attending O.S.U., she worked for a few years in retail management after graduating from Weber State University with an A.A.S. in Merchandising and Sales. Sandra loves to travel and has independently visited 50+ countries around the world!
