John O’Neill, Program Manager, Global Innovation Lab is a Global Business Development Executive and Startup Strategist who partners with CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs, to grow their personal and professional capacity to build new sources of revenue. After over ten years of Fortune 500 high-tech company experience, and then twenty years of working in a variety of Texas-based startups working across numerous industries, John is an expert at identifying commercial applications for new technologies, while accelerating the time to market for new products being sold and adopted by large companies and institutions.
John has been with UT-Austin’s Global Innovation Lab (GIL) for eight years, and has successfully managed GIL programs in Korea, India, and Saudi Arabia, including the rapidly-emerging Women’s Entrepreneur development area. In his GIL Program work, John has worked with and coached leading scientists, engineers, inventors and university and governmental institutions around the globe in evaluating, advising, and commercializing new and innovative technologies that can solve both regional and global problems.
John holds a BS in Management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, and an MBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
