Melissa Ferro, Ph.D.

Melissa is originally from Fall River, Massachusetts, and holds a B.A. in Spanish, an M.Ed. in K-12 Curriculum & Instruction, and a Ph.D. in Multilingual, Multicultural Education from George Mason University. She has studied abroad in Spain (Madrid and Bilbao) and spent four years in London working as an Academic Developer, earning a CELTA, and traveling across Europe. With over 20 years of experience as a language instructor and teacher educator, Melissa enjoys helping students and instructors from diverse backgrounds achieve their academic and professional goals. Since 2019, she has been part of the English Language Center faculty at Texas Global. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and listening to live music with friends.
