Mary Humphrey (she/her) joined the Global Alumni Relations team in December 2022. Prior to her work at Texas Global, Mary worked for the College of Education in a scholarship role. She is passionate about making college affordable for students, and the life-changing role a scholarship can play in a student’s academic career.

Mary is originally from Maryland and attended Indiana University Bloomington where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. After graduation, she worked as an Educational Leadership Consultant for her sorority’s national office. She moved to Austin in 2019 to pursue her master’s degree and graduated with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy through the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin. As a graduate student she worked for both the Student Programs office and the Graduate School.

Mary has visited 7 countries and is currently working toward visiting all 50 states (with 6 more states to go)! Outside of work, Mary enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, knitting, visiting with friends and family, cuddling her cat, Lady, and pretending to be a native Texan.
