Luis Baeza
Senior Global Health and Insurance Program Coordinator
Born in Chihuahua City, Mexico, Luis was raised in Presidio, Texas, a town in west Texas that he describes as being “so small that there is not a single stop sign, with mostly dirt roads and one grocery store.” He earned his bachelor's degree at Sul Ross State University and his master's at Texas State University, where he is currently working on his Ph.D. Luis has worked in higher education for almost ten years, most recently at the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, where he served as the Latin American Visitor Coordinator. Luis has traveled abroad to Australia, Greece, Italy, New Zealand and Spain, and hopes to add more countries to that list in the near future. He has lived in Austin for seven years, and loves the city. In his spare time he enjoys partaking in the live music scene and is a huge fan of superhero and scary movies.
