Margaret has been with International Student & Scholar Services since November 2010 and currently serves as director. Margaret's previous roles within ISSS have been international student advisor, exchange advisor, and assistant director for Student Advising Services. Before coming to UT Austin, she was director of International Student Services at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She holds a BA in international relations from St. Mary’s University, an MA in Middle Eastern studies from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MFA in creative nonfiction from Goucher College in Baltimore. She has traveled to Germany, Turkey, Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Guatemala, and Mexico.
