Lauren Miller

English Language Center Faculty

Lauren Miller holds a M.A. in Advertising with a minor in French from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Journalism from Texas A&M University. She’s also ABD at The University of Texas at San Antonio for Culture, Literacy, and Language. Previously, she studied abroad in France and has a certificate from the Université de Caen. She has taught ESL for over ten years, including at two community colleges and at Texas State University, before joining the English Language Center at UT. She also helped develop and taught an American Culture course for study abroad students at Texas State. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and learning about sociolinguistics and language learning, and she serves on the board of TexTESOL Region III. Before settling back in the Austin area, Lauren lived in New York City where she worked in marketing and communications. She currently lives in Dripping Springs with her husband and two children, and loves traveling, being outdoors, taking French classes, learning to play the viola, and ice skating.
