Lauren Miller

Lauren Miller holds a M.A. in Advertising with a minor in French from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Journalism from Texas A&M University. She’s also All but Dissertation (ABD) at The University of Texas at San Antonio for Culture, Literacy, and Language. Previously, she studied abroad in France and has a certificate from the Université de Caen. She has taught ESL for over 15 years and thoroughly enjoys learning about sociolinguistics, language policy, and language education. In addition to teaching ESL, she has taught freshman seminar courses for new students and an American Culture course for study abroad students, both at Texas State University. Before settling back in the Austin area, Lauren lived in New York City where she worked in marketing and communications. She enjoys exploring new places and traveling with her husband and two children, taking French classes, reading, learning to play the viola, and ice skating.
