Katie received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 2007. During her time at UVA, she spent a semester abroad in Granada, Spain which sparked her interest in international education. Katie has been in the immigration field since 2008, and she has worked in various law firm, government, and corporate roles. She is excited to finally realize her dream of working in international education.

In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, crocheting, cheering on her UVA Wahoos and Washington Capitals, music of all kinds, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and baking. She has been taking flamenco dance lessons with a local studio since 2018. She and her husband live in Round Rock with their precious cat, Beanie.
