Julia joined the Texas Global team as a Program Coordinator in August 2021 and is excited to help Longhorns achieve their education abroad goals. She is originally from Madison, WI, but moved to Southern California to earn her BA in International Relations and Spanish at the University of Redlands. It was there that she became passionate about international education after getting the opportunity to work as the student assistant to study abroad throughout all 4 years of her undergrad.
During college, Julia participated in a May term course in Oaxaca, Mexico and a study abroad semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she also interned with a local non-profit organization. Upon graduation, Julia moved abroad to San José, Costa Rica where she worked at a small travel company for a year and a half before returning to the U.S. in 2018 to work in the Service-Learning department at International Studies Abroad.
Julia has always had a thirst for adventure and has traveled abroad extensively in Latin America and Europe. Outside of work, Julia enjoys making ceramics, baking, hiking, and exploring Austin’s abundant food scene.
