Jenny received her master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance with an emphasis in College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University. She has been working within higher education for over 20 years, with her last 13 specifically within international education. Her career journey has taken her to institutions such as Texas Lutheran University, Boise State University, St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, and finally Rice University where she served as senior manager of advising and programs. Jenny is active within the NAFSA community and has presented at regional and national conferences as well as served as a co-presenter for immigration training workshops. Through her work at Rice, she has traveled to China (Beijing and Shanghai), Australia, and New Zealand.

Jenny is an advocate for animal welfare/conservation programs. Indeed, she volunteered as a primate zookeeper aide at the Houston Zoo. In her free time, she likes taking walks with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry and loving on her senior cat, Cooper. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Jenny enjoys reading and visiting baseball stadiums.
