Janelle brings extensive experience in international education, student affairs, case management, global crisis response, and risk management operations. Her background aligns closely with our commitment to supporting the safety and well-being of UT students, faculty, and staff traveling around the world.
Most recently, Janelle served as Director of Student Health and Wellness and Chief Emergency Management Officer for The School for Field Studies, where she supported global health, safety, and emergency management programs across multiple countries. She also served as a primary point of contact for crises and emergencies abroad as a tour consultant with EF. Her experience working with students, travelers, faculty, and staff across international contexts will be a tremendous asset to Texas Global.
Janelle’s broader background includes roles in residence life, student outreach and support, orientation, and case management at institutions in Massachusetts, California, and New York. She has extensive experience supporting student success and addressing complex student needs, including those of international students in the United States.
Janelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations, from Merrimack College, and a Master of Education in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University. She has also completed intermediate Spanish and American Sign Language and holds a certification in conflict resolution and mediation from San Francisco Community Boards.
