Tracy Frank

Tracy Frank received her M.A. in teaching English as a second language from the University of Washington in Seattle and her B.A. in English from Suffolk University in Boston. She lived and taught in Thailand and Japan and traveled extensively throughout Asia and New Zealand before making Austin her hometown in 1991. Despite her approaching retirement, she's still energized to learn new ways to incorporate technology into her teaching, especially AI. Her greatest sources of satisfaction as an English Language Center instructor are threefold: first, providing her students with the confidence and English language skills they need to reach their goals; second, engaging students from all over the world in an interactive learning environment; and third, collaborating with her smart, creative, and compassionate colleagues. Ultimately, she hopes all her students take away from her classes a deeper appreciation of reading and writing as essential human activities for changing the world.
