Luiza is a native Austinite, but grew up in the Metro Detroit area. She earned a BA in English with a Minor in Film from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She joined Texas Global in 2019 as an Assistant International Scholar Advisor.

Luiza is a first generation Brazilian-American, and speaks both Portuguese and English fluently. She lived in the Netherlands for a year, and has also had to pleasure to travel through Western Europe, Brazil, and South Korea. Some of her interests include cooking & baking, reading Japanese manga, and traveling.
