Catherine did her bachelor’s degree in English literature at SUNY Binghamton in upstate New York. She spent her junior year doing an exchange in England, which piqued her interest in travel and living abroad.

After graduation she lived in South Korea for two years and then in Spain for four. She taught English in both the public and private sector, and became passionate about learning languages herself. She moved to Finland to do a master’s in Education and Globalization at the University of Oulu in Finland, where she had the opportunity to engage in intercultural learning with a small cohort of international students from around the world. While in Finland she worked for the University of Oulu for projects aiming to increase student mobility.

Catherine loves reading, travel and spending time with friends and family. She is passionate about international education and excited to be part of the team at Education Abroad and Texas Global.
