Senior Program Coordinator
Catherine’s curiosity about the world was sparked from early Spanish classes and a high school trip abroad. Since then, she has looked for personal and professional opportunities aimed at creating cross-cultural experiences for others and herself. Prior to joining Texas Global, she worked with international students and scholars at the UCLA Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars and the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Tutorium in Intensive English. Early in her career, she worked with Spanish-speaking families at a Chicago nonprofit and spent 2 years in rural Ecuador as a Peace Corps volunteer. As an undergrad, she spent time teaching at English summer camps in South Korea and studying in Seville, Spain. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics and International Studies from Mizzou and a M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
She’s always on the lookout for a new food to try, documentary to watch, or hidden gem to explore.
