Caren George

Assistant Director, Marketing and Communications

Caren George is the assistant director of marketing and communications for Texas Global at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is responsible for creative management, strategic communications, and data-driven marketing.

Prior to this role, she was a marketing and communications manager at the Center for Health Communication at UT Austin. Before joining the university’s staff in 2018, Caren offered creative consulting services to multiple small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Abilene Christian University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information studies at UT Austin.

Caren’s interest in promoting international education stems from the deep ties she developed with Austin’s thriving multicultural refugee community. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy, as an undergraduate and has traveled to 18 countries so far.
