Rachelle Bumgardner

Rachelle Bumgardner is the Assistant Director for Customized Programs for the English Language Center. A native Texan, she began her career in language education in 2003. Before joining the English Language Center in May 2010, she taught English as a Second Language in England, Uruguay, and Mexico. Since then, she has served as both an instructor and program administrator, supporting thousands of participants from around the world through customized and international education programs. She holds a Master of Arts in Applied Language Studies from the University of Westminster in London, England, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Texas State University. She speaks conversational Spanish and has formally studied Arabic and German at the university level. She attributes her passion for language education to the culturally diverse students and professionals she has worked with throughout her career, from whom she continues to learn every day. In her free time, Rachelle enjoys Pilates, traveling, and spending time with her family.
