Bart obtained his B.A. in Physics and Mathematics from The University of Minnesota, and he obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics at the University of New Mexico. He has been with the University of Texas for 24 years, and most recently, he comes from the University Housing and Dining department where he was the Senior Software Developer/Analyst for the last 6 years.

Bart has been a runner for over forty years, he has a black belt in taekwondo, and he has visited/lived in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Greece. His daughter was born in Japan!
