Teresa Baker

Associate Director, English Language Center

Teresa Baker is the associate director of the English Language Center. She received her B.A. in linguistics and her M.A. in TESL from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has taught in Mexico and South Korea, and has studied Spanish, Japanese, and Korean. Although her administrative duties usually keep her out of the classroom, she has taught courses and designed materials in grammar (her true love), listening/speaking, TOEFL preparation, GMAT preparation, oral communication, reading, composition, and English through current events. In her free time, Teresa volunteers with the Austin Humane Society, taking care of shelter dogs and helping them find new homes.
