Anthony Adame
Senior International Faculty and Scholar Advisor

Anthony brings a rich international perspective to this position. After earning his B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston and his M.A. in Slavic and East European Studies from The Ohio State University, he spent two years teaching elementary school in Kazakhstan. He then spent more than three years at Northwestern University supporting international students and scholars before joining our International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team in July 2021 as an international student advisor.
Anthony transitioned to the role of international faculty and scholar advisor, where he's been instrumental in managing our J-1 scholar population. His dedication to streamlining processes and strengthening support for incoming J-1 visitors has made a real difference for our international community. We're excited to see him build on this momentum in his expanded role!
When he's not supporting our scholars, Anthony can be found behind a camera lens, cheering loudly for the Astros and Texans, or—most impressively—crushing ultra marathons. He recently conquered the Cowboy Yeti Ultra Marathon with a 60-kilometer run!
