Alex Schnurpel is originally from Indiana, where she attended Indiana University, majoring in International Studies with a focus on East Asia and Oceania, and working in the Office of International Admissions. During her time at IU, she interned abroad at the University of New South Wales in Australia through IES. After that, she moved to Tennessee to pursue a master’s degree in College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, supporting the international community at UTK in a variety of roles. Alex joined the University of Texas community in the summer of 2020 and Texas Global in May 2022.

Alex loves to travel and has Japan in mind for her next international trip! However, she has a long list of places she would love to travel to.. Outside of work and travel, Alex races triathlons for fun with members of the local Austin community, spends time with her partner and their corgi, Ein, and enjoys trying new restaurants across the city.
