On Monday Nov. 13th at 7:30 pm in Bates Recital Hall, the UT World Percussion Concert will be held, featuring two UT affiliated groups, Grupo Folklórico de Tambor and the Pans of Texas. The Grupo Folklórico de Tambor will be performing folkloric songs from Cuba and Puerto Rico, showcasing a variety of instruments such as batá, congas, barriles, and more. The Pans of Texas is UT's Steel Band Ensemble. They will perform traditional music from Trinidad, including standards by current, living composers and student arrangements.
