UT Polish Club Presents: "Shock Therapy" Poland's Transition from Communism to Capitalism

The UT Polish Club is excited to welcome Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, a former Polish Minister of Finance, Chairman of Poland's National Bank and two-time Deputy Prime Minister of Poland. He is a current Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics and will be delivering a speech entitled "'Shock Therapy': Poland's Transition from Communism to Capitalism." Professor Balcerowicz will speak for 10 minutes and take questions for the remaining time.

This event is hosted by the Polish Club at UT and co-sponsored by the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies; the Center for European Studies; Texas Global; Liberal Arts Honors; the Department of Government; the Department of International Relations and Government; the Strauss Center, and the Department of Economics.

When registering, there will be a section to submit questions for Professor Balcerowicz. The moderator will select the questions and ask them anonymously.
