UT Polish Club Presents: Leading Poland's Largest Non-Profit for Children's Healthcare Talk
The UT Polish Club is excited to welcome Mr. Jerzy Owsiak, the Founder and Director of Poland's largest non-profit for children's healthcare, the Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). Every year, under Mr. Owsiak's leadership, WOŚP raises millions of dollars for children's medical equipment in Poland and saves thousands of lives. Over the 30 years that WOŚP has been in existence, they have raised almost $400 million. Mr. Owsiak will be delivering a speech entitled "Leading Poland's Largest Non-Profit for Children's Healthcare." After delivering introductory remarks, he will take Q&A for the remaining time.
This event is hosted by the Polish Club at UT and co-sponsored by Dot Dot Dot Connect; the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies; the Center for European Studies; Texas Global; Liberal Arts Honors; the Department of Government; and the Department of International Relations and Government.
When registering, there will be a section to submit questions for Mr. Owsiak. Questions should pertain to the speech topic. The moderator will select the most interesting questions and ask them anonymously.
