Turkish Literature in Translation Reading Group: "My Name is Red"
The Turkish Literature in Translation Reading Group aims to gather those who are interested in Turkish literature at UT. The meetings are open to the entire UT community, as well as interested individuals outside UT. Each month the group talks about a selected Turkish novel with the book's translator. All discussions are free to attend and held in English.
This semester's theme is "Reading Turkey's Centenary via Orhan Pamuk. The third meeting on November 16th will discuss Pamuk's "My Name is Red" with translator Erdağ Göknar.
