It Takes a Village: Sponsored Service Community Service Event

Community First! Village is a master-planned neighborhood that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. ISSS invites sponsored students to join a group service event to participate in various service activities such as working in the gardens, landscaping yards for micro-homes, laying pathways, tending to the community chicken coops or other projects beautifying the property.

Students attending should dress comfortably in a t-shirt, shorts/pants and shoes that can get dirty. A light breakfast, snacks, and water will be provided.
