ISSS Social Cycling: Hyde Park / Epoch Coffee

As usual, we'll meet in front of Gregory Gym and roll out shortly after 10:00am!

Led by an ISSS staff member with years of cycling experience, students and scholars will learn how to safely navigate the streets of Austin from campus through the lovely Hyde Park neighborhood to Epoch Coffee at 221 W N Loop Blvd! We've heard your feedback and planned a new route for this edition of Social Cycling that isn't as hilly as our previous ride tot he Mueller Farmer's Market. 

Feel free to bring your bike. If you do not have a bike, remember that UT's own Orange Bike Project (OBP) can set you up with a VERY inexpensive bike rental for the weekend or even the whole semester! Rentals are done by appointment only, so be sure to contact OBP at utorangebike@gmail.com to set up your rental appointment a few days before the ride.

Because we care about the health and safety of our students and scholars, all participants are required to wear a helmet while cycling for the duration of this event. While neither Texas Global nor OBP can provide helmets, participants may purchase inexpensive bike helmets at the Target in Dobie Mall, one of Austin's many bike shops, or an online retailer.

We also require that all participants fill out a liability waiver. Waivers will be available at the event for participants to read and sign.
