The students at Dell Medical School's Global Health Interest Group invite you to take an active part in an urgent discussion and call for innovative system-level solutions at the 2021 Global to Local Conference: Health Systems Strengthening to Combat Health Disparities.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the disproportionate and devastating impact that differences in access to health care and disease risk have on certain communities and populations, here in Texas and around the world. Strengthening health systems is one important way by which systemic changes in policy and health care infrastructure can remedy existing inequalities and alleviate human suffering. And what starts in Austin's health system could have positive ripple effects across the globe.
Join this half-day conference to meet local and international experts in global health and community equity, travel with them as they tell you about their work and lessons learned worldwide, and learn more on the conference website.
